SCONUL Autumn Conference 2011
Thursday 8 December, The British Library Conference Centre, London
The University Library of the Future
The SCONUL autumn conference will provide an important opportunity for those leading academic libraries to consider some of the challenges which we will be facing over the coming
decade, and to discuss with their peers how the sector should respond. The conference will include reflections from two important international contributors: Andrew Wells, Chair of
the Group of Eight Libraries in Australia who will be speaking on leading library services in a high-fees environment, and Michael Gorman, author of Our Enduring Values who will be
discussing how to maintain our professional values in a competitive environment.
The day will also include some practical workshops on developing KPIs, on bidding for funding, and on the new Knowledge Base Plus service being developed by JISC.
