Promote and publicise HSG
Develop a dialogue with HE Groups: NHS/HE Forum, UKERNA NHS/HE Co-ordinator and relevant JISC bodies (and equivalents in Home Nations) to identify areas of overlap in mission, particularly in relation to content procurement
Develop a dialogue with NHS Groups: NLH Board and NLH Co-ordinating Committee
Respond to government consultation exercises as appropriate
Establish contact with senior DH and DfES officials; working with the Director of the National Knowledge Service to identify the best ways to investigate areas of mutual interest; in order to present briefing papers on areas of concern and to provide regular briefings from HSG to NKS/NLH and vice versa
Remain alert to the work of existing groups and the emergence of new groups in health information and work in partnership to ensure no unnecessary overlap or duplication of purpose
Provide a communication channel for SCONUL/CILIP members on issues of concern and provide guidance as appropriate
