The Academic and National Library Training Co-operative
Eleven libraries in Ireland and Ulster are members of this consortium. The Co-operative provides training to supplement each institution's own programme. Full details of the annual programme are given on the web site.Avon Universities Libraries in Co-operation

The British Association for Information & Library Education and Research includes all teaching and research staff in the Information and Library Schools in the United Kingdom and Ireland. The Higher Education Staff Development Agency provides a range of services to member institutions to develop the skills, training and qualifications of people working in higher education. It is committed to staff development and training provision across the UK higher education sector. The site includes information and guidance on Investors in People in Higher Education. It also includes a list of HESDA courses, seminars and workshops. Access to some areas of the site is restricted to staff working in institutions which subscribe to HESDA membership services.ILT

The University and Colleges Information Systems Association Staff Development Group "is responsible for facilitating and delivering high quality information services training to staff and to enhance the personal development of staff working in IT/IS/Computer Centres".WHELF (Wales Higher Education Libraries Forum)
WHELF and HEWIT (the group of IT managers for Welsh HEIs) have formed a staff development group (WHISD) which organises training events for members and identifies good practice. All 13 higher education institutions in Wales are members.
