Biography:

I am the Science Faculty Librarian at Newcastle University Library, a post I have held since July 1998. Before taking up this position, I held the post of Science and Engineering Librarian at the University of Northumbria. I was awarded a National Teaching Fellowship in 2005. This has allowed me to take some study leave to conduct some research about information literacy in the transition into HE. I am currently Chair of the UK Universities Science and Technology Librarian's Group and a member of the Sconul Access Group's sub group on International students
