Evolving Libraries

Date: Thursday 14th April 2011

Venue: David Wilson Library, University of Leicester, University Road, Leicester LE1 9QD

All libraries evolve all the time; no library is ever "completed". Even new libraries change quickly after opening. Users have new needs; there are new technologies we can adopt; we find that what we did originally might no longer work. Following the recent announcement of the winners Library Design Award, the SCONUL Working Group on Space is delighted to invite colleagues to participate in a seminar which will showcase the two winning libraries, providing a tour of one of them, and allow opportunities to examine the theme of the continual evolution of library 'space'.
