CILIP UC&R one day course, 13 April 2005
10 March, 2005
Job Evaluation and the impact on HE Libraries: the here and now and the futureConcepts such as 'pay modernisation', 'harmonisation', 'job evaluation' 'Fair Measures' 'Framework Agreement' etc are critical issues with a far-reaching impact on both our organisations and on us as individuals. What do these words mean in the context of managing a University Library - for staffing, recruitment and retention, budgets, human resource planning and for job design?
This CILIP University, College and Research Group one day conference for library managers will examine some of these themes, share good practice, touch upon emerging themes and allow delegates the opportunity to explore these issues in greater depth both through debate with the speakers and in discussion with each other.
Speakers include representatives from a University HR directorate, CILIP, Hay, HERA, AUT/UNISON and University Librarians with extensive practical experience of Job Evaluation
