A new publication, Library performance measurement in the UK and Ireland, describes state of the art of performance measurement in SCONUL member libraries.

This survey, published by the Association of Research Libraries in Washington, DC, was a joint initiative between SCONUL and ARL. Since 2004 ARL has sponsored a programme to help libraries assess their services to users and the processes supporting those services. The new publication is based ARL's library assessment methodology.
