Library support for teaching: a survey of costs
12 November, 2008
A new briefing paper from SCONUL analyses some of the principal costs incurred by libraries in higher education, in their role in support of teaching.
Largely based on evidence from SCONUL's Annual library statistics, it gives a broad view of the position in UK higher education. The briefing paper has been developed from SCONUL's contribution in June 2008 to an investigation for the Higher Education Funding Council for England into the long-term cost of providing an appropriate quality UK higher education student experience.
