James Anthony-Edwards

University Librarian, University of Exeter

James is University Librarian at University of Exeter. His previous role was Deputy Director (Library and Academic Services) at the University of Wolverhampton  where he was responsible for the University Library within a converged library and learning and teaching support service.

His career has covered a number of sectors starting out in universities before moving to be Cathedral Librarian at Hereford and then moving across to public libraries. Latterly he was Head of Libraries at Shropshire Council and was founding co-chair of the Access to Research project which gives public libraries access to scholarly journals. His professional interests range across user engagement, space design and open research, he represents SCONUL on the UKRI open access group.
