Kate Kelly is Director of Library Services & Heritage Collections at RCSI, University of Medicine and Heath Sciences in Dublin Ireland. She has spent most of her career in health science libraries, working in rehab, hospital and academic health science settings in the USA and Ireland as well as performing consultancy work for government and public service agencies in Ireland. She is a Fellow of the Library Association of Ireland (LAI) and a distinguished member of the US Academy of Health Information Professionals (AHIP). Kate is the institutional representative, and former chair, of CONUL, the Irish Consortium of National and University Libraries.
Professional interests include professional standards in education and training, digital asset management, evidence-based practice and management information. Former professional activities include serving as Convener of the LAI Professional Standards Committee, Co-Chair of the EAHIL Training & Education Group, as a member of the Medical Library Association Taskforce to Review MLA's Competencies for Lifelong Learning and Professional Success and as an evidence reviewer for EBLIP.
