Mark has been Head of Libraries and Learning Resources at Nottingham Trent University since January 2014. Previous posts include Director of Information Services at the universities of Stirling and Brighton and management posts at the University of Kent and the LSE.

He is currently Chair of SCONUL. He also chairs the Jisc Library Management & Bibliographic Data Services Advisory Group and is a member of the EDINA Management Board.
