The second ‘How to Get Ahead in Libraries’ webinar focused on getting into leadership without a formal library qualification, often seen as a barrier to more senior leadership. All of our speakers have explored alternative routes to ‘library school’ and are now in a variety of senior roles. Our speakers Chris Banks (Director of Library Services, Imperial College London), Dr Sarah Pittaway SFHEA (Director of Library and Learning Resources, Birmingham City University) and Simon Hall (Head of Library Liaison (Medicine and NHS), Imperial College London) shared their journeys and gave practical suggestions for others looking to take that same step.
