Small and Specialist Institutions Forum
The SCONUL Small & Specialist Institutions (SSI) Forum will hold their next meeting on 3 July from 10am - 11.30am.
The meeting will provide members with an update on the following topics:
- The development of the Organisational Development Knowledge Base
SCONUL is working on the development of this tool to showcase job descriptions and organasational charts. We are interested in this forum’s view of how we should treat small and specialist provision within it.
- The CPD review report published by SCONUL in May
Scoping the current and future needs of libraries, this report was published in May 2025 and we are taking feedback from national and regional consortia over the next phase of work. We would be very interested in this group’s feedback on the report.
- OERs network
Hear an update on the work of the Open Education Network (OEN) in the UK. Members include Brunel University and University of Sheffield.
- Jisc's “Big 5” negotiations and sector finances
SCONUL held a successful Town Hall in April and will be holding another later in July. We hope to provide the latest update on the negotiations and get your feedback on how it affects your institution.
