National Student Survey

The National Student Survey (NSS) is an independent survey that gathers final year undergraduate students' opinions on the quality of their course. The NSS is managed by the Office for Students (OfS) on behalf of the UK funding and regulatory bodies – the Department for the Economy (Northern Ireland), the Scottish Funding Council and the Higher Education Funding Council for Wales.

SCONUL produces a data series for its member institutions based on the results for Question 20 "How well have the library resources (e.g., books, online services and learning spaces) supported your learning?" The latest results for the library question for all survey participants back to 2008 are available for members here.

Further information on the National Student Survey and the survey results can be found on the OfS website at: https://www.officeforstudents.org.uk/data-and-analysis/national-student-survey-data/download-the-nss-data/.
