New SCONUL report - CPD for libraries: scoping current and future needs

We are delighted to release our new report, CPD for libraries: scoping current and future needs, written by consultant Jo Walley, based on a number of focus groups held with members in autumn 2024 and spring 2025.

The report examines:

• what training and development is currently on offer in our sector, including which are most popular
• gaps in the training offer
• barriers to training and development, at both institutional and personal levels
• ways in which such barriers could be mitigated.
