SCONUL is delighted to announce that Jo Lambert has been appointed as SCONUL’s new Deputy Director. Jo is currently Head of Licensing Data and Intelligence at Jisc.

Ann Rossiter, SCONUL Executive Director, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Jo to SCONUL. She brings a great depth of knowledge about the sector and its environment to SCONUL and her contributions will be invaluable in supporting the community as we navigate some challenging times. We have worked closely with her in her roles at Jisc over many years and have always been impressed with her inclusive and community-driven approach."

In her current role, Jo leads a team that underpins Jisc’s negotiation and licensing activity, helps to monitor performance and assess value, supports evidence-based decision making and provides data to drive products delivered by Jisc and its partners to members.  With a background in libraries, and extensive experience supporting development and delivery of shared services such as JUSP, she has a strong foundation in user-centred service development, collaboration and community engagement.   She champions the use and application of international standards to improve access to and quality of data, working with organisations internationally to drive and advocate for standards development and adoption. She is currently Chair of the Board of COUNTER and member of the Board of Trustees for the OA Ebook Usage Data Trust.

Anna O’Neill, incoming co-Chair of SCONUL said:

Jo is joining a successful and dynamic Executive Team at SCONUL and her impressive track record of fostering and supporting connection and collaboration will be invaluable in ensuring we continue to deliver leadership, advocacy, knowledge sharing and direct services to all our members."

Jo Lambert said:

I firmly believe in the power of collaboration, so I’m excited to be joining SCONUL at a time when sector challenges present huge opportunities for collective action. I’m very much looking forward to working with member institutions to deliver against SCONUL’s strategy and to help foster and drive positive change.
