Help shape the future of our community

SCONUL is looking for new members for its groups across a range of strategic areas for libraries. Further details on the work of each of the groups can be found in this document.

All of these groups have an important role to play shaping the future of our sector and advocating for the valuable role that libraries play delivering their institutions’ missions. This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with colleagues to tackle our shared challenges together. 

We are keen to hear from both established and future library leaders. There are roles available which will suit a wide range of experience and areas of expertise. Please do pass these details on to members of your teams or colleagues who may be interested.  

In addition to seeking new members of our established Strategy Groups on Content, Organisational Development, and Technology and Markets, we are setting up new Task and Finish Groups on (a) Shared services and (b) Climate change and sustainability, as well as expanding the current Advocacy and Service Development Task and Finish Group. In addition, we are creating two new standing groups to support members on (a) Business Intelligence and (b) EDI. We also have vacancies for officers for three of our community of interest groups.
